I am an award-winning creative director and copywriter, highly skilled at branding, concepting, designing and executing multi-channel consumer and B2B programs that drive measurable results in environments where prioritization, collaboration and flexibility are essential. I’m also a bit of an ad nerd having graduated with a BA degree in advertising from the School of Journalism at the University of Minnesota. I grew up in Minneapolis under the influence of Tom McElligott, Luke Sullivan, Nancy Rice, and others who provided creative inspiration and motivation to pursue a career in advertising.
After working for agencies in Belgium, Japan, Singapore and Minneapolis, I opened my own agency in 2008 to service a select group of clients who wanted to work with a small, nimble team capable of delivering big ideas. Clients I’ve created award-winning campaigns for include British Airways, Virgin America Airlines, The Minnesota Twins Baseball Club, ESPN, Perrier, Coca-Cola and more.
At the height of the dot.com boom, I went back to school to get a mini-masters in E-Commerce from the University of St. Thomas, and I earned a professional certificate in Climate Change and Health from the Yale School of Public Health at Yale University which I hope to incorporate into my work to save the world from burning up. Other nerdy things I do include watching TED Talk videos, reading American cowboy history and teaching kids how to bunt (a lost art).
I’m equally comfortable presenting in front of large audiences, executive leaders and college students as I am speaking one-to-one with clients, colleagues and cross-functional teams to produce complex deliverables that moves people and creates a positive impact on society. I can also make a delicious ham & cheese crêpe.
My portfolio demonstrates my expertise in concepting, writing, branding, storytelling, building relationship marketing programs, employee engagement, customer experience design and new business development wins. It might not show how much I’ve learned at solving problems and producing results, but just ask me and I’ll be happy to tell you.
